Hey friendy! I'm Laura — wife to a hilarious operating room nurse, wrangler of two fluffy rescue pups, solar-powered artist, self-proclaimed crazy plant lady, deep belly-laugher, and teller of terrible, groan-worthy jokes. I live in Brighton, Michigan where I spend my days with a calligraphy pen in one hand and a mug of French roast coffee in the other. I think there's nothing quite like getting to know someone over a glass of wine (or craft beer — I don't discriminate!), the smell of opening my windows for the first time after a long winter, or finding a good documentary on Netflix I haven't seen yet. In the past I've been told I resemble a Pixar character and I'm choosing to take as the Ultimate Compliment. In my head I'm totally Merida, but in reality I'm probably more of a Mike Wazowski. I'll take it.

Paper & Honey began as a cubicle-confined dream back in 2012, coming to life in early 2014. I feel so fortunate to work with my amazing clients doing what I love every single day and need to pinch myself sometimes! I believe in having a kind and human-centered heart, living with intention and purpose, working hard to make the incredible happen, and finding inspiration in the strangest of places.
